Message from the "Sheep Islands"

If you were wondering where they are: Search halfway between Scotland and Iceland.

Tórshavn is the capital of the Faroe Islands. Grass-covered roofs (top left corner) are not unusual in that place, and very pretty to look at.

The stamp shows the lighthouse at Akraberg, the southernmost point of the Faroe Islands. It was erected in 1909, the last inhabitants moved away after the famous Christmas Hurricane of 1988. Today, it is haunted.
